You do not have to be a member to audition for one of our productions though you will need to become a full member before the first rehearsal if you are cast in a production.

Auditions are usually held about three months before a production opens with a reading of the play being held at our theatre a week or so before the auditions – a good opportunity to meet the director and other members.

Details of audition dates and dates of readings for individual productions may be found in the Upcoming Shows section.  The next auditions will be May/June production of Joseph K and the Cost of Living after Franz Kafka will be on Monday 3 March, after an informal reading on Monday 24 February and a physical theatre workshop on Thursday 20 February (audition notice). All are at 7:45pm in the Mary Wallace Theatre apart from the physical theatre workshop which starts at 7:30pm..

RSS auditions are open to all.  The RSS actively encourages diversity, and casting will not be constrained by any perceived ethnicity of the roles being auditioned.
