You do not have to be a member to audition for one of our productions though you will need to become a full member before the first rehearsal if you are cast in a production.

Auditions are usually held about three months before a production opens with a reading of the play being held at our theatre a week or so before the auditions – a good opportunity to meet the director and other members.

Upcoming Auditions: Auditions for our September production of Bingo will be at 7:45pm on Monday 9 June, following an informal reading at 7:45pm on Monday 19 May (audition notice to follow).  Auditions for our October/November production of The Winter's Tale will be at 11am on Sunday 29 June and 7:30pm on Monday 30 June, following an informal reading at 7:45pm on Monday 23 June (audition notice to follow).  Auditions for our December production of The Ghost Train will be at 7:45pm on Monday 1 September following an informal reading at 7:45pm on Monday 23 August (audition notice to follow).  All are in the Mary Wallace Theatre; please arrive early for auditions to complete your registration.

RSS auditions are open to all.  The RSS actively encourages diversity, and casting will not be constrained by any perceived ethnicity of the roles being auditioned.
